Compudopt provides technology access and education to under-resourced youth and their communities.  

COMPUDOPT CURRICULUM AND TRAINING IS DELIVERED AT NO COST TO PARTICIPANTS AND EVERY STUDENT WHO COMPLETES PROGRAM WILL TAKE HOME THEIR COMPUTER COURTESY OF COMPUDOPT!

This year GAC collaborated with Compudopt to offer a week long spring break Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics (STEAM) camp for 3rd through 5th grade students. The morning session, Early Adopters program lead by a Compudopt trainer,  students will explore today’s cutting edge technology to design a virtual reality planet, design a space ship control panel, code a micro:bit, and apply block coding skills to create a space capsule and parachute!

Our afternoon session, 1 - 4, will be led by a GAC Teaching Artist where students will expand on their prior sessions. Teaching artist, Nick McIntyr, leads instructions to extend STEAM learning with an emphasis on Arts integration. Students will explore coding, design,
