National Night Out 2022
National Night Out is an annual event, started in 1984, to promote neighborhood camaraderie and police-community partnerships.
Since then, millions of people in 16,000 communities have taken part in National Night Out events such as block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts, and various other community events.
This year, National Night Out takes place in Texas the evening of Tuesday, October 4th!

During the event, neighborhoods throughout Galveston and across the state of Texas are asked to spend the evening outside with their neighbors, police officers, firefighters, and city officials. Events such as neighborhood walks, cookouts, block parties will all occur simultaneously throughout the city.

This year, Galveston residents will celebrate the 38th Annual National Night Out on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, by joining their neighbors at block parties and gatherings.
National Night Out offers Galveston residents and neighbors valuable information from officers, including:
· How to increase crime prevention and awareness
· Generating support and participation in crime suppression efforts
· Strengthening neighborhood spirit and police community relations
During the event, neighborhoods throughout Galveston are asked to spend the evening outside with their neighbors, police officers, firefighters, and city officials.
