22nd Annual BBQ Cook-Off Supporting Port Bolivar's Volunteer Fire Department

On August 19-20, 2022, pit masters will converge on the Bolivar Peninsula from miles around to take part in the Port Bolivar Volunteer Fire Department’s Annual BBQ Cook-Off. Teams battle it out for cash and prizes in the categories for Best Brisket, Best Ribs, Chicken, Beans, and Best in Show. The competition is fierce but friendly as some teams return year after year to fight for bragging rights as they help raise money in support of the Port Bolivar Volunteer Fire department.
Teams start cooking Friday night, with awards and BBQ dinner plates for sale on Saturday. The event includes a great LIVE Auction and Raffle on Saturday. Bid on a variety of handcrafted furniture, quality gifts, equipment, and unique items you won’t find anywhere else. Bring the family and friends out for a taste of Real Texas BBQ and help support the fine men and women who tirelessly give of their time to provide Fire Protection Services to Port Bolivar and the Bolivar Peninsula. ~ information from website
